FORD ECOnetic range Mar 09

 

 

The Ford ECOnetic range, currently only available in Europe, offers a glimpse into the very near future for Ford.  The Econetic range, currently including Fiesta, Focus and Mondeo, was created using presently available technologies to develop vehicles that mimimise fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.  During trials in Europe, the ECOnetic Fiesta, Focus and Mondeo, achieved best-in-class fuel economy figures^.

 

ECOnetic demonstrates that you do not have to sacrifice style or performance to drive an environmentally advanced vehicle.  ECOnetic vehicles reduced CO2 emissions come hand in hand with improved fuel efficiency - this could save money at the pump.

 

Combining Ford Kinetic Design styling with high-tech conventional power train technology, the ECOnetic models use low viscosity transmission and engine oils, lower drive resistance, improved aerodynamics and super-efficient engines to delivery class-leading CO2 emissions.  They're great to look at and just as good to drive.

 

Displayed at the 2009 Melbourne International Motor Show, Ford ECOnetic is part of Ford's vision for a more sustainable future -= a future that will become a reality in late 2009, when the Fiesta ECOnetic joins the local Ford line-up*.
